Get No Sleep are an Irish adventure racing team brought together with the aim of competing in our first Adventure Racing World Series event: The Adidas TERREX Adventure Race. The event is a 4 day expedition race held across Cumbria from August 27th-3oth 2010.

We are one of 3 Irish Teams participating in this event and we are very much looking forward to it. We met on the hills and come from varying sports backgrounds.

Sean the most experienced of us has been Adventure racing since 2006 and is one of the main organisers of the Total Experience 1 day Adventure Race. Three of us (Karen, Finbar and Richard) are pretty new to the adventure racing, only racing since 2009 but fast learners. We have a good mix of hill running, mountain marathons, ultra marathons and other 24hr-36hr adventure races such as the Beast of Ballyhoura and Cooley Raid between us.

We have been training together for almost 6 months with help and advice from Team Irish AR along the way. Our first race together was the 36hr Beast of Ballyhoura 2010 where we finished in 3rd place.

Our Goal at Addidas TERREX is to complete the long course and have as much fun as possible along the way. We will be arriving to race and learn as we go!
